I am a sucker for pretty much anything made out of wood (one might label me rustic by nature). I sometimes fantasize about sitting in a log cabin at a pinewood table while wearing wooden clogs, drinking coffee from a freshly carved cedar cup. Naturally when JORD Wood Watches reached out to see if I would be interested in reviewing one of their wood watches, I couldn’t help but accept.
Admittedly, I had not heard of their company before, but after taking one look at their website, I found that their products resonated with me in terms of style. Their watches, which feature hand-crafted bands made of various wood, manage to find a balance between earthy and elegant. When it comes to timepieces, they are unlike anything I’ve seen before.

I was pretty excited when my JORD wood watch arrived at my door. I opened the packaging to find an impressive looking wooden storage box.

The watch was beautifully presented inside the box. I could immediately tell that this was a unique watch was in a class of it’s own.

On a side note, the box had a little drawer that would be great for storing watch cleaning supplies or other jewelry.

The watch that I received was part of JORD’s Dover Series. The band was made of olive and acadia wood, and I found it to be just as comfortable as any other watch band that I own. The timepiece had substantial weight; it felt solid and well-made. I also liked the “open face” where you can see all the gears doing their thing.

The Dover series also features an automatic winding system, so no battery is required.

I am seriously in love with the look of this watch. It’s got enough style to handle a fancy night out, yet it is practical enough to wear while handling everyday chores (like casually cutting oranges).

Click here to enter the giveway. The grand prize is a $100 coupon good for any JORD watch, but everyone will receive a $25 discount code just for entering. Not a bad deal! The contest closes on 3/26 at 11:59pm so don’t dilly dally!
Disclosure: I received a JORD watch in exchange for this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
