I have a question about the pine needle tea. I love your site, and I understand about the Cypress and Yew not being used. As I researched I also read that the Ponderosa Pine is not recommended as it is also poisonous. I live in the West and Ponderosas are common. I also wondered about the Lodge Pole Pine. Is it ok to use?
Thanks for all of your information.

Hi.
I’m interested in pine needle tea. I live in Texas and we have a lot of Mondale pines. Would these be safe for tea?

Hi Veronica! I don't have any experience making tea from this particular tree, but from what I can tell it should be pretty safe. Here is a link to a study that found it to be non-toxic.
