Sometimes the best things in life are often the simplest. Such is the case with this classic guacamole recipe.
It only has five ingredients and takes no time to make, yet it never fails to deliver. Classic guacamole will be a big hit at any party, but works just as well for those more private snack times. Plop it on eggs, chili, lettuce wraps…you get the idea.
This recipe showcases the creamy goodness of the avocados, with just enough additions to make things interesting a delicious. Plus it’s also a great way to use up any ripe avocados you might have sitting around. Trust me, you will find yourself serving it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Classic Guacamole
Ingredients
- 3 ripe avocados
- 2 plum tomatoes seeded and chopped
- 3 Tbs red onion minced
- 3 Tbs fresh cilantro chopped
- Juice from one lime
- Large pinch sea salt
- Large pinch black pepper
Instructions
- Cut avocados in half lengthwise. Remove the pit, scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl, and mash with a fork.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Serve on everything.
