Caveman Vodka is a tasty, handcrafted spirit made with 100% Paleo-friendly ingredients.

This post was sponsored by Caveman Vodka. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
In my experience, it’s not too often that one can find an adult beverage that both tastes good and is composed of guilt-free ingredients.
Don’t even get me started on gluten-free beer (gross).
Enter Caveman Vodka.
As the name implies, it is a spirit specifically distilled for those looking to relax with a drink that still adheres to the principals of the Paleo lifestyle.
The Caveman Vodka Story
In chatting with Caveman Vodka founder Steve Olsen, I realized that we shared a lot of common ground in our personal journeys with the Paleo diet.

In 2012, Steve found out his brother was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
After he gained a significant amount of weight throughout the treatment process, Steve–who wasn’t in the best shape himself– made a friendly bet with him about who could shed the most pounds in 3 months.
Steve started by trying to lose weight by sticking to a conventional “healthy” diet, but did not make much progress. Then he was turned on to Paleo by a co-worker at a company dinner one night.
Steve immediately lost 5 pound in one week, and went on to lose a total of over 30 pounds. He got off the stomach medication he was taking, and gained more strength and energy than he every had before.
Thankfully his brother fully recovered, and Steve remained hooked on the Paleo lifestyle.

While he was traveling for work, Steve became frustrated with the lack of Paleo options found at the bar, so he decided to make his own option based on his favorite drink of choice: vodka.
While vodka is typically distilled from grains or potatoes, Caveman Vodka uses 100% grapes to make it completely gluten-free and Paleo compliant.
Clean Ingredients, Clean Taste
Upon first opening the bottle, I could immediately smell a fruity aroma.
It reminded me of pisco, a Peruvian spirit that is also made from distilled grapes.
Tasting the vodka, I can best describe it as clean.
Really clean.
Perhaps due to the fact that it is made with Sierra – Alpine water, but this vodka had none of that weird rubbing alcohol flavor that can often come with standard vodkas.

Yet at 40% Alcohol by volume, it manages to pack a punch while still being extremely smooth.
I created a quick cocktail by muddling some mint leaves with fresh lime juice, adding the vodka, then topping it of with seltzer water and garnishing with cucumber.
The drink was incredibly crisp and refreshing. I enjoyed it sitting outside on a warm sunny day–the perfect way to welcome in spring.

To recap, I am a huge fan of Caveman Vodka because it is:
- clean and tasty
- gluten-free
- made from 100% grapes
- hand crafted in the USA
