  • Immersion Blender
  • Splatter Screen

Ingredients

  • 5 pounds firm organic apples
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  • Quarter the apples, carving out the inner core and seeds.
  • Place the apples along with the apple cider vinegar and spices inside the Instant pot. Lock the lid and set for 10 minutes on high pressure.
  • When the timer goes off, hit cancel and allow the pressure to release naturally.
  • Remove the lid and use an immersion blender to puree the apples until smooth.
  • Set the Instant Pot to "Sauté-Less" and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring often, until the mixture has thickened considerably.
  • Allow the apple butter to cool, then transfer into clean jars. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month or freeze for up to 6 months.
